Bükk Region Geopark Trademark

In 2026, the Directorate of the Bükki National Park, as the coordinating organization of the Bükk-vidék UNESCO Global Geopark, announced for the first time a call for applications to obtain the Bükk-vidék Geopark trademark. The aim of the initiative is to recognize and support those characteristic, locally produced products and services that are linked to the area of the Bükk-vidék UNESCO Global Geopark and are made in harmony with nature in a sustainable way. The initiative creates another opportunity for the values of the Bükk region to become more widely known, while also strengthening the economic and cultural sustainability of local communities.

Applications for the competition in 2026 were accepted in four categories:
