In 2026, the Bükki National Park Directorate – as the coordinating organization of the Bükk-vidék UNESCO Global Geopark – announced a call for applications for the first time for the awarding of the Bükk-vidék Geopark trademark. The aim of the initiative is to recognize and support those distinctive, locally produced products and services that are linked to the territory of the Bükk-vidék UNESCO Global Geopark and are produced in harmony with nature, in a sustainable way. The initiative creates another opportunity for the values of the Bükk-vidék to become more widely known, while also strengthening the economic and cultural sustainability of local communities.
Applications for the 2026 call were accepted in four categories:

- services.
